The original Hummer was a legend in the 2000s, but the new 2022 GMC Hummer EV is setting a new standard for the nameplate. With incredible specs and a slew of highly advanced technology, the Hummer EV is unlike any other electric vehicle or pickup truck. And now, we can finally behold its gorgeous and rugged design since GM released photos of the impressive, high-end Edition 1 trim.
One of the most exciting elements of the new 2022 Hummer EV is not apparent at first glance, and that’s the three-motor setup, which delivers an estimated 1,000 horsepower. Driver-selectable modes can adjust output to bring the Hummer EV from 0 to 60 in only 3 seconds. All of that power comes with admirable EV qualities, like over 350 miles of all-electric driving range from the Ultium battery system,* and DC fast charger compatibility for roughly 100 miles of range after just 10 minutes of charging.**
The Hummer EV is equipped with a number of off-road features, including an innovative 4 Wheel Steer with CrabWalk that lets you travel diagonally over rugged terrain. There’s also an adaptive air suspension, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and underbody armor.
The ride is further enhanced with a metric ton of advanced technology. Hummer EV comes equipped with Super Cruise, a hands-free driver-assist feature that works on over 200,000 miles of mapped highway. The cabin also has a 13.4-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch driver information display, and access to 18 different camera views via the UltraVision system.
While the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 sold out within hours of becoming available, you can still reserve your Hummer EV right here at Rivard Buick GMC.
