As 2022 models begin filling our lot at Rivard Buick GMC in Tampa Bay, Florida, it’s a good time to review what has changed in the last year. Several GMC models have received significant changes worth checking out, but before we get to those, we should probably talk about the all-new GMC Hummer EV.
2022 GMC Hummer EV
An entirely new addition to the 2022 GMC lineup, the Hummer EV is one of the most anticipated EVs of the year. It has four-wheel steering, over 1,000 horsepower, and a 24-module battery pack. Later, a truck version will go on sale as well.
2022 GMC Sierra 1500
For 2022, this popular full-size pickup gets new front-end styling including eye-catching LED lights. Inside, it has a larger touch screen. And under the hood, the base 2.7-liter engine gets a massive 20% torque bump.
2022 GMC Terrain
Now available with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, the GMC Terrain SUV also receives a styling makeover as well as three new color options. This should help it stand out in an increasingly crowded and competitive segment.
If you’re a fan of off-road racing, you’ll want to tune in for the Extreme E Race Expo this April. Not only will it be a fun event full of fast vehicles and plenty of adrenaline, but GMC will be teaming up with Chip Ganassi Racing for a special surprise. This year’s event will see CGR take on the competition with an electric SUV inspired by the new 2022 GMC Hummer EV.
This powerful racing machine has a powertrain that can produce 550 horsepower. Its grille, bodywork, and unique graphics are a direct homage to the new Hummer EV, which is set to release later this year.
Off-road racers Sara Price and Kyle LeDuc will be behind the wheel for the high-octane event.
The 2022 Hummer EV is easily one of the most anticipated vehicle releases of the year. The world’s first all-electric supertruck will be able to achieve a mind-boggling 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque, all while producing zero emissions. Thanks to 35-inch tires, standard independent front and rear suspension, and an available CrabWalk mode, there will be no terrain the 2022 Hummer EV can’t handle.
The Extreme E Race Expo kicks off with the Desert X Prix on April 3. The 2022 Hummer EV will be hitting Rivard Buick GMC in Tampa bay, Florida, this fall.
The original Hummer was a legend in the 2000s, but the new 2022 GMC Hummer EV is setting a new standard for the nameplate. With incredible specs and a slew of highly advanced technology, the Hummer EV is unlike any other electric vehicle or pickup truck. And now, we can finally behold its gorgeous and rugged design since GM released photos of the impressive, high-end Edition 1 trim.
One of the most exciting elements of the new 2022 Hummer EV is not apparent at first glance, and that’s the three-motor setup, which delivers an estimated 1,000 horsepower. Driver-selectable modes can adjust output to bring the Hummer EV from 0 to 60 in only 3 seconds. All of that power comes with admirable EV qualities, like over 350 miles of all-electric driving range from the Ultium battery system,* and DC fast charger compatibility for roughly 100 miles of range after just 10 minutes of charging.**
The Hummer EV is equipped with a number of off-road features, including an innovative 4 Wheel Steer with CrabWalk that lets you travel diagonally over rugged terrain. There’s also an adaptive air suspension, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and underbody armor.
The ride is further enhanced with a metric ton of advanced technology. Hummer EV comes equipped with Super Cruise, a hands-free driver-assist feature that works on over 200,000 miles of mapped highway. The cabin also has a 13.4-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch driver information display, and access to 18 different camera views via the UltraVision system.
While the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 sold out within hours of becoming available, you can still reserve your Hummer EV right here at Rivard Buick GMC.
