The Tampa Lowry Park Zoo is featuring an event this year to celebrate Halloween with the family and some favorite furry animals. The Creatures of the Night attraction allows visitors to view the animals at night in their habitats and is open on Fridays and Saturdays of this month until the 29th. New this year is the inclusion of Asia, Africa, and Primate World during the night viewing.
Along with watching the illuminated animal areas, there will also be special scare zones for moderate frights (for all ages) throughout the zoo and family-friendly activities over at Wallaroo Station’s “Pumpkin Palooza.” The kids, 11 and under, can come dressed up as their favorite characters but be sure to leave any toy weapons at home, as they are not permitted.
Access to Creatures of the Night is included with all-day admission and if you arrive after 4pm, you’ll get tickets at a discounted price of $19.95. Zoo members get into the night attraction for free and dining plans are also available for purchase online if you plan on having dinner while at the zoo.
The Creatures of the Night attraction at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is open until 10pm and if you’d like more information, visit their website: http://www.lowryparkzoo.org/creatures.
